Ardian Bujupi (born April 27, 1991) is a Kosovan singer and songwriter who fled to Germany with his family as a child to escape the disintegration of Yugoslavia. He first gained widespread recognition in 2011 after finishing third on the eighth season of the German singing competition Deutschland sucht den Superstar (DSDS). Following his success on the show, Bujupi launched a successful music career spanning both the German and Albanian markets, releasing early English-language hits like "This Is My Time" and "Rise to the Top," which led to extensive tours across Germany, Switzerland, Kosovo, and Albania. Although he unsuccessfully competed to represent Albania in the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, he continued to build a massive fanbase in Albanian-speaking territories with popular summer anthems and hit singles such as "Want U Now," "Andiamo," and "Na jena njo."
