Deca Loših Muzičara (translated as Bad Musicians' Children) is a Serbian funk rock band formed in Belgrade in 1988. They became a staple of the 1990s Serbian rock scene, known for a fast, melodic sound defined by a prominent brass section (trumpets and saxophones). (1990s) After winning the Youth Festival in Subotica in 1990, the band released their debut album, Dobardan!, in 1993 (recorded in 1992). It produced hits like "Kreditna kartica" and "Zeka." Their follow-up album, Prolećni dan, featured the popular track "Vlade Divac," dedicated to the basketball star. During this period, the band also composed music for theater plays, most notably Virus (1998). (2000s) The late 1990s and early 2000s were difficult for the band due to the economic situation in the country and serious health issues suffered by original vocalist Aleksandar Siljanovski (a car accident followed by a stroke). After a long hiatus, they released the album ...gde cveta samsung žut in 2005 with a new lineup. Siljanovski eventually left the band in 2006 and was replaced by actor Ivan Jevtović. The group briefly disbanded in 2009. (2011–Present) DLM reunited in December 2011. Ivan Jevtović served as the vocalist until 2015, when he left due to acting commitments and was replaced by Nenad Petrović. The band has since celebrated several career anniversaries, released new singles (such as "Flora & Fauna" and "Ludi pas korupcija"), and announced work on a new studio album.
