In 1999, Linus Quick began to discover DJing, and by 2001, at the age of 19, he already held his first residency at Treibhaus Meilenhofen. In 2003, he made the decision to write, compose, and produce his own music. Barely three years later, his first release followed on the Cologne-based label Traumschallplatten. Then, in 2007, came the major decision to stop playing conventional DJ gigs and instead entertain the music world as a one-man band, with a laptop under his arm and Ableton as his tool. Musically, it is difficult to pigeonhole Linus Quick; he himself says: "Categorizing music while composing strips me of all inspiration..." In recent years, Linus Quick has played his own music at events such as Mayday, Nature One, Winterworld, Radio-Nation, and Ruhr In Love, as well as in many renowned clubs across the country. Linus Quick is a man who believes in himself. The Bavarian-born musician has been in the business for 20 years now, and while he is many things, he is never predictable. From 2017 to 2019, Linus Quick decided to pause his live act to gain new inspiration as a DJ. In 2019, Linus Quick wants to go "back to the roots" and is taking on his new project: Linus Quick Live 2.0! Due to his versatility in arrangements and tempo, he has decided to give himself the freedom of live performance once again and focus entirely on his music. For that is what this thoroughbred musician does best. His live sets, ranging from deep sounds and melodic tones to fast and techno arrangements, are meant to be simply danceable, authentic, and entertaining. Even for the artist himself (says Linus Quick). In this respect, anything can be expected in the future; Linus Quick has matured and no longer has any desire to submit to the rules of the music industry. One thing is clear: it will remain dance music.
