About Miladin Sobic
Miladin Šobić (born 1956 in Nikšić, Montenegro) is considered one of the greatest singer-songwriters in the former Yugoslavia. He began writing music during high school but developed his signature style while studying tourism in Dubrovnik, inspired by student life and friendships. His career peaked after moving to Sarajevo. He released two highly influential albums, "Ožiljak" (1981) and "Umjesto gluposti" (1982), featuring hits like "Džemper za vinograd," "Kad bi došla Marija," and "Od druga do druga." Despite his massive success, Šobić abruptly withdrew from public life and the music industry following a family tragedy (the death of his sister). Although he had recorded material for a third album, Barutana ljubavi, it was never officially released, and despite rumors of a comeback, he has remained in retirement.
