About ThroDef

Dj / Producer / Musician, Theodore Forozis, created his most popular project, “ThroDef”, in 2015. After several years of Studying music, teaching and DJing in popular Venues (clubs, restaurants, bars) in Greece and abroad, he decided to focus on production and sound design. Influenced by the blend produced by the Syrian musician’s invasion to German Electronic Music Scene, his early productions were fuelled by Greek and Middle Eastern traditional music. The result was a unique sound, quickly affiliated to rising record label Cafe De Anatolia and Buddha Bar. 2015 – 2019 • “Eastern soul” is the first single out by Cafe de Anatolia based on the melody of a Traditional Smyrna song. Created an impact and was included in several compilation albums. Was later included in “Alulim” EP. The whole EP included Eastern Soul, Alulim, Trabzon and Egyptian girl (Misirlou) and was supported by several DJs all around the world. • More singles were out the next years with Cafe De Anatolia, Universal Music, M-Sol, Feelgood entertainment, Panik records, Moonster Music and more. Collaborations with Nacho Sotomayor, Billy Esteban, Dreamers INC, Thanassis Vasilopoulos and more. • In 2019 he held a residency in “Siddharta Lounge by Buddha Bar” in Muscat, Oman. He shared the stage with popular DJs around the world. Dj Ravin, Sam Popat, Ferrek Dawn and Robosonic were just a few. 2020 – 2024 • In 2020 he released his album “Café Grec” with Meditelectro (FM records), that included collaborations with many Greek artists and composers. The single “As erhosoun gia ligo” is one of his best selling and was included in several compilations and playlists. It was included in Amazon’s movie “ Killer Heat” soundtrack. • 2021-2022 he started collaborating with popular composer Michalis Koumbios and they released many singles together. A few more mentionable collaborators that period are: Giorgos Ntalaras, Miltos Pasxalidis, Mikis Thodorakis, Panos Dimitrakopoulos and more. • In 2023 he started working on “Café Grec pt II” which was released a year later, along with many single releases. 2025 – • He keeps producing restaurant-bar oriented down-tempo electronica and experimental music. On the same time he keeps refreshing his club sound, blending ethnic elements with modern Afro House, Organic House, Progressive and even techno to produce powerful dance tracks. He keeps reaching collaborations with fresh music labels and artists. His releases so far are more than 100, many of them included in popular music compilations like Buddha Bar and Cafe De Anatolia compilations. He ghost-produces, mix and masters for over 20 Djs/ artists. • Since ’23 he is the artistic director of the Symposio Festival (Athens) and he appears as Guest in several events, clubs and bars. He also releases music as: Gruvbar, Theodoros, Teo FRZ, Faux Roses, Anaximander, 4ozs, DoItAgain. In the past he has released music as Dj TheodoreF and Ted Frozack.
