About Zana
Zana is a Serbian pop-rock band from Belgrade, formed in 1980 and originally led by singer Zana Nimani. They rose to fame in the 1980s with albums blending new-wave rock, synth-pop, and reggae influences, producing hits like Dodirni mi kolena and Majstor za poljupce. After Zana Nimani left in 1985, the band continued with new singers and evolved their style toward pop-rock and dance-pop. Currently led by Jelena Galonić and Zoran Živanović, Zana remains active, releasing new music and celebrating their legacy with a 2022 box set covering over four decades of work. They are recognized as one of the prominent Serbian pop-rock bands with a lasting influence on the region’s music scene.
