The Name of this new house imprint “120dB” is symbolizing the energy of the sound this new House label stands for. The two founders and managers Greg Silver and Chico Chiquita are both very experienced DJs, producers and radio hosts from Germanys “magic city of House Music”: Mannheim. But differing from the typical deep and calm sound of that region, 120dB stands for powerful and energetic House Music from Progressive to Techhouse and even Electro, with the strong attitude of functionality on the dancefloor. The first Release “El Gitano” is inspired by the energy of traditional folklore music played by gypsies all over the world. Impulsing and drifty, this catchy “earworm” is a real energetic floorburner! “El Gitano” features some highly appreciated remixers such as (Mr.”Tronic Love” Falko) Richtberg & Wojkowski – two young “Mannheim-House” producers with upcoming releases on labels as Trapez and Amused Records.
