Hundert Jahre Tausend Feuer

In 2002 Suppi Huhn had handed in a CD with "Blau und weiß sind unsere Farben" (Blue and white are our colors) in the fan pub at the "Glückauf-Kampfbahn" in the Schalke district of Gelsenkirchen. Two years later, "Charly Rinne" from Beluga Records got in touch with the request if he could use "Blau und weiß sind unsre Farben" for a hundred years anniversary CD. Suppi Huhn was so touched that this song had taken its own way that he offered to compose a song for the anniversary. Two days time for composition, production and tape delivery was enough to compose a song that meanwhile every Schalke fan knows. Thanks are also due to the artists around singer Marc Maree, who were present at the time, who immediately interrupted their recordings after this call and, as Schalke fans, sang along with heart and soul to the chorus. On the initiative of the ARD Sportschau, the performance in the "Arena auf Schalke" came about as a warm-up for the special broadcast. 65000 fans sang along on May 4, 2004 (Arena auf Schalke)
