Damion O'Brien aka The Dark Matter has been releasing dark, atmospheric techno over the last 10 years. 1.Broken- Centred around the filtered pad chord changes, industrial metallic percussions and driving techno rhythms work with cycled LFOS and modulating filters backed by a rolling sub line. 2.Abstraction- Industrial, tribal techno rhythms back a spitting programmed step sequence with warm filtered pad. A pulsing bass lead steps up the track and picks up the pace. 3.Parallax- Modulating drones are lead by tribal, industrial techno rhythms. A sustained, dark bass line mixes with a swung lead phrase. Glitchy, sequenced techno bleeps layer over the dark melody.A fizzing string like pad adds an edge.
