About Srecko Krecar

Srećko Krečar (born 27 October 1980 in Kragujevac, Serbia) is a Serbian folk and pop-folk singer. He began performing in the mid-1990s and studied both at the First Kragujevac Gymnasium and the Dr. Miloje Milojević Music School, later continuing his education at a music academy. He founded his own band in 2009, and in 2013 released the album Pobednik, whose title track became his most recognized song. Krečar performs frequently in Belgrade clubs, kafanas, splavs, and at private events. He has also collaborated with several well-known regional artists, including a duet with Andreana Čekić. He is married to Marija and has three daughters. In 2025, Krečar received media attention after it was discovered that members of a criminal group used fake passports containing his photos, taken from public interviews. He publicly denied any involvement and stated he learned of the issue from the media.
