Alreadymades

The project alreadymades turns once more to art history, reworking one of its most radical gestures: the readymade. Marcel Duchamp’s everyday objects, displaced into the gallery, questioned the very definition of art. Alreadymades takes this provocation into the present, extending it into a digital and playful register. The objects on display are drawn from the textures of daily life—cars covered with vegetables, objects absurdly recontextualized, materials shifted into unfamiliar forms. Yet instead of the cool distance of conceptual critique, this project approaches the readymade with humor, irony, and the spirit of collection. Instead of singular icons, the objects appear as part of a TEOK series, echoing the collectible card sets of childhood. Each of the 32 so called MEROs becomes both artwork and emblem, inviting us to see the ordinary anew while asking how art history itself might be reorganized, traded, and re-collected.

Paul Kostodimir is a contemporary artist working at the intersection of design, art, and technology. His practice draws inspiration from art history—from the radical clarity of the Bauhaus to the conceptual ruptures of the readymade—while reimagining these legacies through today’s tools: digital media, animation, artificial intelligence, and playful systems of collection. With Bauhaus Motion, Kostodimir explores how geometric forms, colors, and rhythms could once again become a living language. Using his “Part Art technique,” he fragments and recombines essential shapes through AI, creating a dialogue between human intention and machine suggestion. The result is a dynamic homage to the Bauhaus as an evolving organism rather than a static canon. Across his projects, Kostodimir positions art as a field of transformation: where historical references are neither repeated nor preserved, but reshaped into new constellations for a digital age.
